Bio

Sam Marks is Vice President of Strategy & Analytics for the Washington Spirit, where he oversees Business Intelligence, Ticket Operations, and Revenue Strategy. In this role, he partners across marketing, ticketing, and operations to transform fan data into actionable insights that drive audience growth, improve fan engagement, and support organizational decision-making. Throughout his career, Sam has helped sports organizations leverage data to better understand fan behavior, personalize customer experiences, optimize revenue strategies, and build stronger relationships with their audiences. Prior to joining the Spirit, he held strategy and analytics leadership roles with the Boston Bruins and TD Garden, and also worked with organizations across the NHL, NFL, NBA, and collegiate athletics. A frequent contributor to industry discussions on analytics and sports business strategy, Sam has published independent research on topics including ticket pricing optimization, fan engagement, and sports media distribution. He holds a B.S. in Chemistry and Economics and an MBA from Duke University, where he was recognized as a Fuqua Scholar.
