Michael J. Munson

Michael J. Munson is a serial tech entrepreneur, data sovereignty advocate, and nonprofit founder with over 25 years of experience at the intersection of information technology, sponsorship marketing, and internet business model innovation. Michael is the Founder and CEO of Dāginty, a data sovereignty company built on Sovereign Human Data principles. Dāginty is designed to enable a transition away from surveillance capitalism toward a collaborative business model that aligns the interests of individuals, organizations, and data-driven enterprises. Previously, Michael founded and led several successful technology and marketing companies, including Sponsorwise (later renamed Versaic and acquired in 2018), FanTell, SponsorPitch (acquired in 2021), and Addvanz Inc. (DBA Helpiing), which he led from 2012 through 2024. Across these ventures, he consistently focused on solving complex market inefficiencies through innovative data systems and privacy-forward design. Among his most notable achievements, Michael overcame the loss of a major American Airlines contract on September 11, 2001, rebuilding the business to over $1M in annual recurring revenue through the dot-com crash and subsequent recession.
