Bio

PGA of America Master Professional Dawes Marlatt is the PGA of America’s Senior Director of Education & Talent Development. He joined the PGA of America as Director of Education in November 2008. Marlatt currently serves the training and development of more than 30,000 men and women PGA of America Golf Professionals across the country. Marlatt has led the efforts of a variety of golf businesses focused around growth, professional development and career management. In 2002, he created a PGA Golf Management University Program for the University of Idaho College of Business & Economics, while serving in the General Manager role at the university’s golf operation. At the PGA of America, Marlatt is responsible for leading teams of professionals to develop a learning strategy aimed at creating greater job impact and performance. His development of the educational curriculum and technological infrastructure allows PGA of America Members and Associates to be engaged while becoming experts in the game and business of golf. He has been a PGA of America Member for over 25 years and received his Master Professional designation in General Management in 2006. Marlatt played a key role in the design of the new Home of the PGA of America in Frisco, Texas, with the PGA Professional Development Center, ensuring that it meets the educational and training standards of the Association and its Members. Having grown up on a golf course, he has had a passion for and a love of golf since a young age. A multi-sport athlete, he has also competed in several IRONMAN Triathlon competitions.
