Wendell Scott

Wendell Scott is Senior Vice President, Sales, Disney Advertising. In this role, leveraging Disney’s linear, addressable and social offerings, Scott oversees advertising sales for the WPP & Dentsu holding companies across Disney’s portfolio of brands including ABC, Hulu, Disney+, Disney Channels Worldwide, Disney Digital, ESPN, Freeform, FX and National Geographic. Previously, Scott helped launched The Walt Disney Company and Disney Advertising’s evolution of Andscape, a Black-led media platform dedicated to creating, highlighting, and uplifting the diverse stories of Black identity, reflecting the company’s investment in and commitment to Black stories and voices. Scott has recently been named Executive Sponsor of Disney’s Black Employee Resource Group, mentoring and motivating future Black leaders and raising visibility for the Black community within the company and beyond.

Previously, Scott launched the first Automotive Vertical team for Disney Advertising in 2019 and led the Disney Advertising team with Ford for the exclusive partnership in launching the all-new Ford Bronco in July 2020. Inspired by Disney’s CreativeWorks, Disney produced a 3-minute roadblock in Prime across National Geographic, ESPN, and ABC with customized 3-minute videos for each network. The ads were placed in programs native to the creative and platform, resulting in unprecedented search volume and pre-orders for the all-new Ford Bronco. co.
As a 22-year veteran of Disney and ESPN, Wendell also manages Advertising Sales for ESPN’s SEC and ACC College Sports Networks, as well as Disney’s Multicultural initiatives. Scott was named to Cablefax’s 2020 and 2021 Most Influential Minorities: The Diversity List, honoring the top multi-ethnic influential leaders who are shaping the media industry based on influence and accomplishments.
