Alexa Huchingson

Alexa Huchingson is the Vice President of Business Development at Elevate, an award-winning, full-service consulting firm supporting high-performing organizations in sports and beyond. Huchingson is responsible for securing new business partners in professional and collegiate sports and entertainment, and utilizing Elevate’s vast resources and expertise to develop revenue-driving solutions across partnership, hospitality, consumer insights and analytics, experiential design, feasibility and revenue consultation for new and renovated venues, and more.

 

During her tenure at Elevate, Huchingson has secured partnerships with University of Arkansas, University of Illinois, University of Kansas, and more; she currently supports a network of collegiate clients spanning all Power Four Conferences. The nearly 15-year industry veteran is driven by the belief that elite business and organizations in the sports industry should embrace change as the catalyst for innovation and positive transformation; and integrates an analytics-driven approach and leadership experience from previous roles at Navigate and IMG College (now Learfield) into her client-facing style at Elevate.

 

Prior to joining Elevate, Huchingson was Chief Revenue Officer at Navigate where she secured research and consulting partnerships with professional sports teams and leagues, Fortune 500 brands, media networks, national agencies, and Division I Universities. Over the course of five years, Huchingson was responsible for over $4 million in new business revenue, while managing a sales team which produced double-digit year-over-year growth. Huchingson played a significant role evaluating multi-million-dollar sports and entertainment sponsorship portfolios for global brands including Toyota, Keurig Dr. Pepper, StubHub, and more. She consulted with professional sports teams across all major leagues on marquee partnership asset valuations including naming rights, jersey entitlements, foundational partnerships, and more.

 

Before joining Navigate, Huchingson was responsible for driving more than a million dollars in new and annual revenue with Arizona Sports Radio; consistently setting new revenue growth records for the flagship station of the MLB’s Arizona Diamondbacks, NBA’s Phoenix Suns, NFL’s Arizona Cardinals, and Arizona State University Sun Devils Football. Huchingson held several leadership roles at IMG College (now Learfield), including Arizona State University, where she increased new business revenue by nearly 60% and maintained a more than 95% client renewal rate. Over her four year tenure at IMG College, Huchingson developed and activated partnerships with over 25 national brands, including Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Chevrolet, and Unilever Global.

Huchingson’s expertise and leadership have earned her a place behind the podium at notable sports industry speaking and corporate engagements, including the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks’ and MLS’s San Jose Earthquakes’ Partner Summits; she serves consistently as a Guest Executive Lecturer at Arizona State University, University of California, Berkeley, and University of Central Florida; and has presented at the University of Arizona and Southern Methodist University.

 

Huchingson is an active Board Member with Arizona State University’s Sports Law and Business Program, Grand Canyon University’s Sports Business Program, and Make a Wish Foundation. In 2022 she was selected as one of 35 female executives in sports business across North America to attend the WISE (Women in Sports and Events) Executive Leadership Institute at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth University. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from University of Washington and a Sales Certificate from Foster School of Business. Huchingson is originally from Seattle, WA and currently resides in Scottsdale, AZ with her husband and son.
