Falk College, UNLV to Launch Sports, Entertainment and Innovation Conference Next Summer
On July 14, University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) Sports Innovation and Syracuse University’s David B. Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics, in collaboration with the Las Vegas-based guest experience agency Circle, proudly announced the launch of a first-of-it-kind Sports, Entertainment and Innovation Conference (SEI-Con) hosting thought leaders and subject matter experts from across the globe to educate, collaborate and create dynamic ventures together.
The inaugural conference will be held in Las Vegas with an opening reception on July 15, 2024, and the three-day conference from July 16-18. The event will include exhibitor pods, innovation labs, daily keynotes, seminars & sessions, roundtables and daily wrap parties with music. Read more
Indy Gaming: UNLV to co-host the ‘G2E of sports business’ next year in Las Vegas
As he was settling into his seat for a recent airline trip, UNLV President Keith Whitfield struck up a conversation with a fellow passenger about the state of the sports industry in Las Vegas.
There was much to discuss.
Whitfield, who became UNLV’s 11th president in August 2020, has seen the landscape change dramatically in his short tenure. The Las Vegas Raiders played three seasons at Allegiant Stadium, the Las Vegas Aces and the Vegas Golden Knights won championships and Las Vegas will host two major events between November and February — the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix and Super Bowl LVIII. New sports, entertainment convention coming to Las Vegas in 2024
As Las Vegas continues to build its reputation as a sports and entertainment capital, UNLV and Syracuse University announced they are partnering to bring a sports and entertainment convention to the city next year.
The convention will be called SEI-Con and will bring businesses involved in the sports, entertainment and innovation industry together for a three-day convention in July 2024. The convention will be hosted co-hosted by UNLV’s Sports Innovation program and Syracuse’s Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics. Read more
